The family placement service offers care to disabled children in their own homes or in the homes of approved carers. The services exist to offer individualised care in a flexible way to all sections of the community who have a disabled child. It offers short breaks ranging from a few hours, day care, regular weekends or longer periods. Family placement also offers emergency care and medium to long term care if children are unable to return to their families.
