Virtuosi GUS Band

Virtuosi GUB Band performs at Morley Town Hall on Saturday 19 October 2013.


We are pleased to welcome back to our series the 2013 Butlins Mineworks Champion the Virtuosi GUS Band, formed in 1933 as the Munn and Felton Works Band.

The band has enjoyed sustained contest success over the years having won no less than six national titles, the British Open Championships and being proclaimed World Champions. In 2013 band is celebrating 80 years of outstanding music making and a story which had its beginning in a small Northamptonshire shoe factory.

Morley Town Hall is a beautiful Grade II listed building, recently refurbished, with a traditional Victorian concert hall accommodating approximately 640. For more information on facilities for patrons please contact Leeds City Council's venues department on +44 (0)113 247 6647.



There is good disabled access to Morley Town Hall with a ramp and lift at the front of the building and disabled toilets on the ground floor. Morrison's car park has designated disabled car park spaces.

Public transport  

Morley Town Hall can be accessed by train or by bus. Morley station is less than a mile away and buses numbers 46, 51, 55, 85, 87, 220 and 221 serve Morley.


The nearest car park to Morley Town Hall is the Morrison's supermarket car park.
