The Swing of Things

30 June 2013 2:30pm - 4:30pm

The Swing of Things performs at Temple Newsam Estate

Join The Swing of Things at Temple Newsam Estate on Sunday 30 June at 2.30pm for a free concert of popular music.

A Yorkshire based quintet of two guitars, clarinet/baritone sax, violin and double bass (plus vocals), our sound is primarily inspired by Django Reinhardt’s Swing Guitars of the ‘30s and ‘40s, and then rotates through other points of the compass to include Boogie Woogie, the Blues and Afro-Latin rhythms: all with swing-driven improvisations and a wry sense of humour.

This concert is sponsored by the Friends of Temple Newsam Park.
