Drawing on pictures and objects from the museum's collections, this talk explores local politics during an era of turbulent social and economic change as growing numbers sought the vote, Tories vied with Whigs and merchants battled manufacturers for control of the town's affairs.

Please note this talk will also run at 5:30pm to 6pm.
