Piano Postcards

Piano Postcards

10:00am - 5:00pm every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday between 17 September 2012 and 13 October 2012.

A unique exhibition at the Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery, University of Leeds.

 

​Visit the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery and view a unique collection of Piano Postcards created by high profile individuals to celebrate the Leeds International Piano Competition.

In recognition of its longstanding association with the Competition, the University of Leeds invited famous faces connected with the arts and Yorkshire to create a unique Piano Postcard by drawing, painting or photographing subjects related to the Competition.

The result is a fascinating exhibition with art work from a uniquely diverse group of individuals ranging from musician, singer, songwriter and composer, Sir Paul McCartney to distinguished writer Alan Bennett.

At the end of the exhibition, all artworks will be auctioned for charity with the proceeds going to Nordoff Robbins and Live Music Now. For further auction details visit www.leeds.ac.uk/leedspiano
