Medieval event and mini farm

18 May 2013 10:30am - 3:30pm

Learn about the history of markets

‚ÄčWe will be getting back to our roots on the outdoor market, re-creating a medieval food experience. Looking back to the 15th century, the event will be run by You Are What You Ate and will include children's activities, medieval music and cookery demonstrations on an open fire.
Watch as recipes that are over 500 years old are prepared and have the opportunity to taste some of the delicious creations. Visit the food display and find out about seasonal foods, what markets were like in the 15th century, and the importance of healthy eating, past and present. Hear live music from medieval musician Peter Bull.
The medieval activities will be run by You are what you ate
