Fabric and textiles workshop - learn the skill of patchwork.

 

From the assorted fabrics provided, learn the skill of patchwork.  From here you will quilt your fabric to transform it into a throw that is ideal for a picnic or 'glamping'.

A basic knowledge of sewing is required (although if you are a complete beginner, courses are available at The Bowery).​

Find your way to Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills By bus: Bus number 5 operates between Leeds Railway Station and Armley Mills Museum. Bus numbers 33 33A 508 and 757 travel from the city centre to the Vue Cinema complex on Kirkstall Road. Access to Armley Mills is available behind the complex over the foot bridge. By train: The nearest train station is Burley Park which is a 1 mile walk from the Museum. Leeds Railway Station is 1.6 miles from the museum. By car: If you are using a route planner, our postcode is LS12 2QF. By foot: Armley mills is around a 30 minute walk from Leeds train station and is also accessible by the Leeds and Liverpool Canal tow path. To walk from the station turn left onto Wellington Street then continue onto Kirkstall Road (A65) for 0.6 miles. Turn left onto Viaduct Road and continue for 0.3 miles then continue onto Canal Road. Armley mills will be on the right. To access the Leeds and Liverpool Canal tow path from Leeds train station head south on New Station Stret and take the pedestrian tunnel stairs and continue onto Wharf Approach. You will be walking on the canal towpath for about 30 minutes. You can access the museum directly from the canal path or leave the canal at Canal Road and follow the road around. The museum will be on your right. By bike: It will take you around 20 minutes to cycle from Leeds Train Station - please use the walking directions above. Bike racks are available on site and bikes can be hired from www.bikeandgo.co.uk/locations.php at the city station. Parking  

There is free parking at the front of the museum with disabled parking immediately outside of the Museum entrance.

Additional parking is available in the Vue Cinema complex on Kirkstall Road.
