Creative fun for the under 5s and their carers

For all under 5s fairies and their carers!  Join us for creative fairy fun. There are things to make, dressing up and things to play with. Feel free to come in your fairy outfits, but please be aware that sometimes we use paint and glue.​

Details  

Visit one of the best preserved Cistercian monasteries in the country and step back in time to see how the monks lived. Refreshments are available from the Gatehouse café across the road at Abbey House Museum.

Public transport  

Bus numbers 33, 33a and 757 travel from the city centre to Kirkstall Road. The nearest train station is Headingley and is a 1 mile walk from the Abbey. Please contact Metroline for up-to-date travel information on (0113) 245 7676.

Parking  

A large free car park is situated opposite Kirkstall Abbey, on Abbey Walk. This includes disabled access parking.

Disabled parking is available immediately outside of the visitor centre but must be arranged in advance.
