Although there are no dedicated library parking bays there are two public bays, one of which is a marked disabled bay, available for public use immediately to the rear of the building. The surface from the car park is concrete with paving slabs and curbs; it is mainly even but there are some uneven surfaces. It is approximately 50 metres to the entrance. The nearest bus stop/main bus station is approximately 200 metres away on an even surface. The accessible entrance faces onto the main road. The entrance doors to the main library are automatic. The library is on three levels but there is a stair lift to each level and all services can be accessed from the lowest level. There is one accessible toilet but access would require the use of a stair lift to the first mezzanine level. Large keyboard, trackball and mouse, Boardmaker and adjustable desk are available. There are low level areas and an Induction loop is installed on the counter.

Public transport

The library is on the local bus routes. Please contact Metroline for up-to-date travel information on (0113) 245 7676
