There is on street parking only, and access is dependent on where the vehicle is parked.  The surface is mainly concrete and paving slabs with curbs.  Most areas are reasonably maintained and level.  The nearest public transport is down/up a very steep hill approximately 800 metres and there is the possibility of crossing a very busy road using pelican crossings.  Entrance to the library is either via three steps or an access ramp.  The library is all on one level through a set of heavy internal doors; assistance from a carer or staff member would be required for wheelchairs.  There is an accessible customer toilet.  Touch screen monitors, large keyboard, trackball and mouse and adjustable desk are available. Boardmaker is also available.  There are low level areas and an Induction loop is installed on the counter.

Public transport

The library is on the local bus routes. Please contact Metroline for up-to-date travel information on (0113) 245 7676
