Pudsey Park was first opened to the public in October 1889.
At Pudsey Park you can find a range of free attractions whatever the weather and it is a safe place to walk, play, skateboard or look at the fish and animals.
You can relax with a leisurely stroll around the tree lined parkland and enjoy the flowers and gardens.
Why not spend a lazy Sunday listening to one of the local brass bands playing in the bandstand (please see our Events page for further details).
You can visit the parrots, finches and exotic fish or try to identify the ‘top ten plants’ in our tropical greenhouse.
If you are looking for something more active you can try a game of bowls and younger visitors can enjoy our extensive children’s playground, skateboard park and pets corner.
Pudsey Park was a Green Flag Award winner in 2004/05, 2005/06, 2006/07, 2007/08 and 2008/09. If you would like more information on the Green Flag Award scheme please click on the link.
Please note that as a continuation of the five year development plan the construction of a new playground has now been completed. The relocation of the Pets Corner is currently underway. Visitors should be aware that the zoo will be closed until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you.
