Here you will find resources providing advice and immediate weather information.
During periods of severe weather we will provide weekday updates via Twitter @leedsemergency and @leedscc
While severe weather incidents are not preventable much can be done to limit their impact on Leeds and its residents. We receive early warnings of severe weather that may cause disruption to Leeds’ infrastructure (such as traffic congestion), damage property or danger to life.
The following are conditions that may cause problems for Leeds and its residents:
- Heatwave
- Intense or prolonged rainfall
- Low temperatures and/or heavy snow
- Storm and high winds
