Types of gymnastics classes

Pre-school gymnastics
Gym-minis 1-3 years - parents and carers join the children in activities to develop basic motor skills, colour and number identification, speech, social interaction, exploratory play and gymnastics skills.
Gymikins 3-4 years - children work without parents and are left with the coaches in preparation for starting nursery or school.

General gymnastics - fun and developmental gymnastics for beginners to intermediates. Gymnasts work on achieving specific skills on the floor, bar, beam, and vault apparatus. The Leeds Gymnastics Awards offer 3 levels of badges in floor, bars, beam and vault.
Class 1; 4-6 years
Class 2; 6-8 years
Class 3; 8-11 years
Class 4; 11-16 years
Class 5; 7 years+ (competition class, by invitation only)

Trampolining - from 5 years up to adults. Classes are split into junior, senior, and adults and cater for beginner up to intermediate level.

Regional women’s club grades - gymnasts can be selected based upon their ability. All gymnasts on club grades must join the City of Leeds Gymnastics Club.

Acrobatics/tumbling - from 5 years +. Gymnasts work on floor and tumble skills and compete in low level regional competitions. Selection is by invitation only.

All coaches are employed by us have current British Gymnastics qualifications, are CRB checked and have attended our safeguarding course.
