Contact Leeds is the customer services section of Leeds City Council. It is made up of the corporate contact centre, one stop centres, the welfare rights unit, and the central interpreting and translation unit.
The corporate contact centre handles telephone enquiries relating to a number of council services, including:
- Housing repairs and general housing issues;
- Choice based lettings;
- Homelessness advice and prevention;
- Social services referrals and general advice;
- Disabled persons' car parking permits and bus passes;
- Anti-social behaviour;
- Electoral services
- Compliments and complaints about the council;
- Council tax;
- Benefits;
- Refuse collection - green and black bins, fly tipping and bulky household waste collections;
- Highways and street lighting;
- Graffiti and needle removal;
- Pest control enquiries;
- Grass cutting; and
- The council's switchboard.
