Wrap Up Leeds
Homeowners and people renting privately in Leeds can wrap up their homes for free – and save up to £300 on their fuel bills.
Subject to a free technical survey, Wrap Up Leeds is offering cavity wall and or loft insulation free of charge to the first 15,000 households that sign up.

Run by Leeds City Council and Yorkshire Energy Services, the scheme is open to anyone who owns their own home or rents privately. Most homes will qualify for completely free insulation, although some larger homes may be asked to pay a small cost to complete the job. While there are other free offers available Wrap Up Leeds is the only scheme to offer a free 'top up' of your existing loft insulation.
Between now and September you'll see Wrap Up Leeds adverts on buses, leaflets, posters and events across the city. The Wrap Up Leeds team will also be knocking on doors in some areas of the city where the available information on fuel poverty and the types of houses suggests free insulation will have the highest impact.
Insulation will help you keep your home warmer so you spend less heating it and help reduce Leeds' carbon emissions. Figures from the Energy Saving Trust suggest a typical three bedroom semi-detached home can save up to £300 a year on fuel bills when insulated.
