EASEL neighbourhoods have very different characteristics and are home to many diverse and dynamic communities.

As well as the benefits - potential for an exciting range of cultural activity, energy for and commitment to supporting each other - they also have in common areas of the greatest disadvantages within leeds an nationally.  Despire concerted effort some places are dropping even further down the tables, especially where employment, income and the general situation for older people are concerned.

Most people feel pretty good about their neighbourhoods, but there are some serious exceptions - opportunities for change and improvement are equally varied.
