What is an Area Action Plan?
The Area Action Plan (AAP) is a statutory planning document and is being drawn up to support and provide guidance for the major regeneration programme for EASEL – including the neighbourhoods of Burmantofts, Cross Green, East End Park, Gipton, Halton Moor, Harehills, Osmondthorpe, Richmond Hill and Seacroft.

The plan will protect areas that are sensitive to change and identify areas for development, providing details on how and when proposals will be developed. It will make sure that developments are the right size, mix and of the highest quality.

The plan will provide guidance for EASEL for the next 15-20 years.

What stage is the Area Action Plan at?

Officers are currently considering the many responses received from last summer's consultation on the Preferred Options for the Area Action Plan.  These comments have led us to look further at the phasing of development and at more detailed aspects of the proposals, inlcuding infrastructure, drainage and local facilitites.  Residents' views will continue to shape the plans through further consultation which we anticipate will take place in 2009.  We will keep you updated on our progress.

You can find out more about the plan by following the links on this page.

It you want to get involved in the EASEL AAP and be contacted about future consultations please email us with your name and address.
