All births, deaths and stillbirths are registered by appointment. For further information contact us using the details in the top right of this page.
If you suffer a stillbirth you can make a priority appointment at the Register Office (within 24 hours). Or you can ask for the Registrar to go to the hospital or hospice and we will guarantee to attend within 48 hours
The stillbirth should be registered in the district where it occurred. You can find information about our offices and opening times on the page link Register offices in Leeds.
If you do not live in Leeds you can visit any Register Office in England or Wales to give details of the registration and these will be passed to the appropriate office. This would mean you would be sent all documents through the post which would take a little longer.
You can get a copy of an entry of a still birth register at the time of registration. This costs £3.50 for each certificate.
