Information for electors with a disability

election

We want to make sure that everyone can vote.

We can supply information in large print, other languages, audio and Braille. We can also arrange for an interpreter  in another language or British Sign Language.

At the polling station you can also get help from the Presiding Officer. If you are visually impaired there will be someone there to help you with your ballot paper.

All voters with a disability can take a friend or relative to the polling station to vote for them.

If you don't want to go to the polling station to vote, please remember that all voters are entitled to vote by post (and proxy if they apply for each election), and voters with disabilities are also allowed to apply for a long term proxy.

You can download a pdf guide about voting for people with learning disabilities.
