Promoting communities that are clean and safe, with decent housing provided and people being supported into work.

Director of City Development
Shaping the city's future through transport, land use, economic development and employment, arts, heritage, libraries, sports and active recreation, parks and countryside, highways management, design services and asset management.

Director of Children’s Services
Meeting the needs of children and young people.

Director of Adult Social Services
Meeting the needs of vulnerable or disadvantaged adults in terms of physical, sensory, social or mental health conditions.

Director of Resources
Allocation and administration of all resources and support functions, corporate property management, traded services and commercial services.

Assistant Chief Executive (Corporate Governance)
Ensuring the council's internal controls, including the democratic and constitutional arrangements are effective, member and officer conduct is appropriate and that the council fulfils its legal obligations.

Assistant Chief Executive (Planning, Policy and Improvement)
Championing the planning of council business and its corporate policy delivery.
