Local Government Ombudsman

The Local Government Ombudsman investigates complaints of injustice arising from poor administration by local authorities.

If you wish to make a complaint about Leeds City Council to the ombudsman, you must have given us the opportunity to deal with your complaint first. You can do this through our corporate complaints system - follow the weblink from this page to make a complaint online. You should only take your complaint to the ombudsman if you are not satisfied with the action the council has taken after your complaint.

Customers can contact the LGO Advice Team on 0300 061 0614 or 0845 602 1983.

The Advice Team are available Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm, except for the period 9.30am-10.30am, Tuesday to Friday. You can also text ‘call back’ to 0762 480 3014.
