We believe it is important that local people are involved in the decision-making processes that affect the way our council is run and how local services are delivered.

This section provides information about how the council is run, what our priorities are and how you can get involved - from electing your local councillors, to voicing your concerns about local issues and telling us how you think we can improve council services.

  Find out how the council is structured and what the roles and responsibilities of the corporate management team, executive board members and senior officers are.

  Submit a new ePetition, view active and completed ePetitions, and sign active ePetitions.
• Find your councillor 
  Leeds has 99 councillors, three for each of 33 designated areas of the city known as electoral wards. Find out who they are, what they do and how they are elected. You can also find contact details for your local councillor plus details of wards and surgeries.
• Neighbouring councils 
  Links to Yorkshire councils, local government and central government agencies and local health care trusts.
• Vision for Leeds 2011 to 2030 sets out the long term ambition and aspirations for the city. It has been developed by the Leeds Initiative in conjunction with all local partners, including the public, private and third sectors.
• City Priority Plan (CPP) 2011 to 2015 these are new city-wide partnership plans which aim to identify the key outcomes and priorities to be delivered by the council and its partners over the next four years.
• Council Business Plan 2011 to 2015 - this is the single plan for the council that brings together all the priorities for the council alongside the medium term financial plan.
• Corporate governance documents
