Cycling

Increasing the numbers of people cycling is a key aim of the West Yorkshire Transport Plan 2006 – 20011.  Benefits include:

  • Improvements in health and fitness of participants.
  • Reduction of congestion on the city’s roads.
  • Reduction of pollutants emitted by motorised vehicles.
  • Greater freedom of movement for those without access to a car.

Walking

Walking is also a good way to build healthy exercise into your daily routine.
