The framework is to support Leeds City Council’s funding relationship with the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector (VCFS).
This is a new guidance document which sets out guiding principles for both the Council and the VCFS to use within a grant funding relationship. It is important that all VCFS organisations currently being grant funded or seeking grant funding from Leeds City Council read this document.
The guiding principles underpin the aims of the framework which are to
- develop better accountability and a 'One Council' approach to funding the VCFS
- provide intelligence to inform future strategy and decision making
- put in place a transparent approach to resources allocation to the VCFS
quantify the Council's contribution to the VCFS
- achieve better alignment to strategic priorities and value for money.
Leeds City Council will be reviewing the implementation of the framework on an annual basis. It will compliment the Compact for Leeds and the Code of Practice for the Funding of Organisations.
