The Lord Mayor will be supporting Voluntary Action-Leeds during his year of office.
Voluntary Action-Leeds (VA-L) is the Council for Voluntary Service in Leeds.
For over 60 years Voluntary Action-Leeds has been providing innovative and direct support, services and specialist advice to hundreds of voluntary, community and faith groups enabling them to carry out their work across Leeds.
The organisation manages the Leeds Volunteer Centre matching individuals to volunteering opportunities. They encourage effectiveness, innovation and co-operation in the voluntary, community and faith sector in Leeds and work with other networks to ensure their voices are heard.
Voluntary Action-Leeds services are available to any voluntary, community and faith Sector (VCFS) organisation and any such organisation is encouraged to join VA-L as a member.
