Well check out your library for books and information on all of the above. There's a wide range of contemporary fiction, sci-fi, horror, romance, graphic novels etc for you to choose from, as well as non-fiction relevant to young people.

All libraries have computers and offer free internet access. Larger libraries have newspapers, CDs, videos and DVDs.

There are special facilities for young people at Compton Road and Garforth Library

Connexions personal advisers provide confidential information and support for children and young people aged 13-19.

It’s free to surf the net

Your Space 
We have a Youth area called Your Space in Central Library where you can use the internet, meet your friends, study or relax. There are magazines, graphic novels, CDs, study guides and books to borrow. You could also join our teenage readers group which meets one Saturday a month.

Newspapers and magazines
Feel free to look at the national and local newspapers and the diverse range of magazines found throughout the building, for instance Vogue, Harpers and Queen, Internet, NME and Q.

Videos, DVDs music and cds
Sample the wide range of videos,DVDs and Cds held in the Music Library …including the CD Central collection of Cds by local bands. If you play a musical instrument, then improve your technique with the range of How to play books and sheet music.

Arts Space
Wander around the Arts Space and enjoy the regular exhibitions in the Tunnel and the Big Pink Space and displays including those by local artists. Or perhaps fashion or photography is more your thing? In which case the art library is the place to be.
