Orange Prize for fiction
The 2008 Orange Prize for Fiction has been awarded to Rose Tremain for her novel The Road Home
The chair of the Orange Prize jury, Kirsty Lang said: " The Road Home is a beautifully crafted novel that shows great emotional empathy from an author at the top of her game'.
The Orange Prize has been promoted in Leeds libraries during the last few months and readers group members in Morley, Garforth, Holt Park and Central libraries have been busy reading through the long list of books. This year they all agreed with the Orange jury and voted for Rose Tremain.
