NARIC - Comparability of overseas qualifications in  the UK

UK NARIC, as the national agency, managed on behalf of the UK Government, provides the only official source of information to individuals wishing to work or study in the UK about how their qualifications relate to those in the UK.

Leeds Library and Information Service can check the comparison of qualifications gained overseas using UK NARIC’s database

This is done by making an appointment with Keith Holdich at Leeds Central Library on 0113 247 8269 and is free of charge. Please bring your qualification documents with you to the appointment.

However, please note that if you require official documentation on the comparability of your qualifications, you will then have to contact NARIC directly either by post or online and request either a Statement of Comparability or the more detailed Career Path Report. NARIC makes a charge for this service. Leeds Library and Information Service is not able to produce these official documents for you.

The comparability information supplied by UK NARIC is designed to assist you when applying for jobs or courses in the UK. The Statement of Comparability or Career Path Report can be presented to employers or institutions as supporting information, together with your CV or application form, as confirmation of the recognition of your overseas qualifications in the UK. This will enable potential employers or educational institutions to make informed decisions about the suitability of your qualification(s) for the job or course for which you are applying.

For further details please consult the UK NARIC website.
