The Older Carers Support Service is a dedicated team of AgeUK workers who support carers, who are themselves over the age of 65 and caring for an adult with a learning disability, and who may have been caring consistently for many decades. Their age and possible own ill health may cause them additional difficulties in their caring role. AgeUK Older Carers Support Service recognise this and offer the following support:

Information about and support to access services available to you and your family

Someone to talk to when times are tough

Advice and support on emergency planning

Help for planning for the future

Organise socials and other events for carers
