Breaks for learning disability carers

break

Caring on a long term, daily basis can take a toll on your own physical and emotional well being. As a carer it is important to look after your own health and take a break from time to time. There are various types and lengths of respite services available specifically for carers looking after someone with a learning disability and a range of residential respite facilities.

Respite breaks away from home can be planned in advance and the arrangements will be through a community care assessment by the social worker of the person you care for.
