The 9th Leeds City Centre Audit is designed to assess the vitality, viability and performance of the city centre. Data relating to a range of indicators, together with the results of consultation with key stakeholder groups, has been used in compiling the audit. The key topics covered are:
- Retail Trends
- Pedestrian Flow
- Movement
- Office Market
- Employment
- Housing
- Leisure and Tourism
- Community Safety
- Sustainability and the Local Environment
Most of the 9th Audit’s findings are positive, the retail sector is performing positively and confidence is relatively high. However, the data does relate to time periods before the economic downturn and must be read with regard to the early months of 2008.
