East Leeds Regeneration housing

East Leeds Regeneration aims to create affordable, attractive and high quality mixed tenure housing, increasing housing choice for current and new residents to achieve a diverse and sustainable housing market.

We will work with developers on new housing opportunities to create more desirable places to to live and work and provide good quality homes in safe and tolerant neighbourhoods.

We are already working with Bellway Homes to deliver new housing on three sites in Seacroft and Gipton.

The Gipton Homebuy Scheme at Amberton Park, set up by Gladedale Homes, has provided 92 properties, 25% of which have been sold to East North East Homes tenants through an equity loan scheme.

Schemes are being developed to channel Homes and Communities Agency Funding into terraced houses in Harehills and Cross Green.

We have now been successful in securing  £37 million Homes and Communities Agency funding for a range of developments to improve choice of tenure across the East Leeds Regeneration area.

Although building programmes have slowed as a result of the recession we have bought 20 homes on Bellways current sites in Seacroft and Gipton - showing commitment to local employment and training including support for the four apprentices Bellway employ.

Contracts have been completed and exchanged on all the properties, which are being managed by East North East Homes Leeds

Brand new council houses for rent in Gipton

Families have moved into 10 new homes on St Wilfrid's Avenue and 53 more homes on Easterly Mount .

  • These are amongst the first new council homes to be built for a generation, and contribute to East Leeds Regeneration priorities.  East North East Homes Leeds has set up a local lettings policy - so all the new tenants will be working households living locally - and a percentage of them will help existing tenants whose current homes are too big or small for them.
