The Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA) reviews the whole of Leeds housing market and forms part of the evidence base which will help to inform future housing and planning policies and strategies.
SHMA 2007

SHMA update 2010
The 2010 study:
- provides an analysis of Leeds’ housing market and housing stock;
- provides evidence and conclusions for how much new housing we needed in Leeds for the period to 2026;
- determines how much and what types of affordable housing we need in Leeds;
- will influence a wide variety of council policies and strategies, including the Housing Strategy and the LDF Core Strategy.
