A Travel Plan is a package of practical measures aimed at addressing the transport needs of a particular development (or organisation) where it is likely to generate a significant level of trips. The draft SPD sets out the circumstances where a Travel Plan will be required as part of any planning consent.
A draft Travel Plans SPD was previously consulted on in May 2007, but was not adopted. This 2007 document has been fully updated in 2011 to take account of national guidance on travel plans and experience of using the draft SPD over the last four years.
The consultation on this draft (2011) SPD runs from 18 August to 30 September 2011.
Any views and comments on the document are sought. Comments can be made in writing by either using the response form on the right hand of this page or a letter / email, and emailing to ldf@leeds.gov.uk or posting to the address listed.
