This Supplementary Planning Document provides the framework for the information that major development planning applicants must provide, to enable applications to be assessed in a timely, robust and fair manner.
The document is based upon the council's Sustainability Appraisal Framework and asks questions relevant to major developments. Assessment will be on a site by site basis, recognizing the priorities relevant to the site and the development.
The SPD provides a framework for pre-application discussion and negotiation between the planning authority and major applicants, as well as an explanation of the information that applicants should submit.
