Houses in Multiple Occupation Register of Licences Issued

Register of Licences Issued -  28th MARCH 2013

The Housing Act 2004 requires every local authority to establish and maintain a public register of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) licensed under the act.

Click on the 'HMO Licences Issued 28-3-2013' document in the 'Download' section on this screen to find out if a landlord has been issued with a HMO licence for his/her property.

New licence applications will not appear on our register until they have been processed and issued by us. We update the list of issued licences on a fortnightly basis.

Landlords of properties issued with HMO licences must display a copy of their licence in a prominent position in the licensed premises.

It is an offence for a person to have control of, or manage a licensable HMO without a licence or without applying for a licence. You should check our register or telephone us before you agree to manage a licensable HMO otherwise you could be breaking the law.
