Applications to represent the Hackney Carriage trade at Leeds City Council's Hackney Carriage Trade Forum
Your attention is drawn to the attached new constitution for the hackney carriage trade forum. The current forum will be dissolved on 31 December 2011 and the new forum established with effect from 1 January 2012.
If you are interested in sitting on the forum as a hackney carriage trade representative, please forward your application to Taxi and Private Hire Licensing, 225 York Road, Leeds, or via email to taxiprivatehire.licensing@leeds.gov.uk. Existing trade representatives are required to re-apply and applications from other hackney carriage trade or professional organisations are welcomed.
All applications must include the following:
- a written constitution which includes details on
- how a person may seek membership
- how officers are appointed or elected and at what frequency
- how the organisation seeks views from its members and feeds information from the forum meetings and on current issues and consultations back to them
- a list of current Members
Please ensure you have read and fully understood the attached constitution as all hackney carriage trade representatives that are accepted onto the new forum will be required to sign and agree to the new constitution.
All applications must be received by 30 September 2011. Applications will be evaluated during October 2011 and any appeals to officers' decisions will be heard by the Licensing Sub Committee in November 2011.
