Minority Ethnic Women into Business Start-ups (MEWBS) working in partnership with Park Lane College and Leeds Thomas Danby College are proud to announce the launch of new state-of-the-art business facilities at Milun Women's Centre in Roundhay.
The space is designed to accommodate businesses in the holistic & wellbeing and textiles fields of work. These are companies who when starting up would traditionally work from home to keep costs to a minimum. The new incubators can be booked on flexible terms to suit the bookings of a company allowing these businesses to move out of a home environment which may not be suitable for their field of work and into modern, comfortable premises without the rising overheads.
The Milun Women's Centre has allowed the space to be transformed creating facilities for holistic professions including massage tables, a sauna, and manicure stations. The separate space for micro machinists, dress makers, designers, and upholsterers has been refurbished to include modern technology such as lighting that mimics natural daylight and industrial sewing machines.
The centre has a creche and telephone and computer facilities for businesses to book in meetings and appointments with clients and book the facilities accordingly.
This project is supported and funded by the Centre of Vocational Excellence.
