  • Benefits - Information about housing benefit, council tax benefit, free school meals and school clothing vouchers. You can book an appointment with us to discuss benefits - either visit the help desk in the one stop centre, or call 0113 2224404.
  • Council tax - Bills, discounts, business rates, and how to pay. You can book an appointment with us to discuss your council tax - either visit the help desk in the one stop centre, or call 0113 2224404.

Please note: For the time being, customers can only book an appointment to discuss council tax, council tax benefit, or housing benefit. 

  • Housing - Repairs, rent accounts, applying for a council house, neighbour problems or any housing enquiries.

  • Social Services  - Help and advice about services for older people, children and families, disabled people, blue badges and bus passes for disabled people, RADAR keys to access disabled toilets.

  • Other services from us - If we can't help you we will put you in touch with someone who can. 

  • Displays - We hold displays to give you information on a wide range of topics. Leaflets are available and can often be provided in your own language on request.


  • Hate incident reporting centre - A hate incident is any incident that the victim or any other person believes has been motivated by hatred of race, disability, religion or sexual orientation. You can report hate incidents at a one stop centre rather than a police station. We work with West Yorkshire Police, Leeds Racial Harassment Project and Yorkshire MESMAC (sexual health project).

  • Car parking services - We deal with resident and non resident car parking permits and parking fines. Telephone 0113 214 3060

  • Customer focus group - Ask us about joining the customer focus group. We have monthly meetings and you can comment about our services and hear about any changes and plans.

  • Leeds glassware - Leeds City Council Glassware are having a half price sale!  Selected items will be half price from Monday 21st November.  All the glassware is available to see in the display cabinets at 2 Great George Street, Customer Services.
     
    A large range of glassware bearing the Leeds coat of arms is now on sale at our reception. A full price list can be found attached to this page. To buy any of the items you can either drop in to reception at 2 Great George Street, or call Adele/Peter on 0113 395 0621.

Leeds Card -  With a Leeds Card you can get discounts and special offers on a wide range of council services as well as at dozens of shops, attractions, restaurants and theatres.

Welfare Rights
 - Advice surgeries for people needing help and advice with welfare benefits and rights. Surgeries are held on Tuesdays by appointment. You can book an appointment on 0113 240 5480. Welfare rights surgeries for the Chinese community are held on Mondays by appointment and can be booked by calling 0113 240 8502 (Chinese speakers only).

Credit Union -The Leeds City Credit Union is an organisation that provides straightforward, affordable financial services to a growing number of people in Leeds. Credit Union staff are available Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 4pm and Friday, 9.30am to 4pm. For further information please use the link to the Credit Union website.

The job shop - You can apply for jobs with us here. We have application forms, job descriptions and employee specifications. We will advise and help you fill in application forms. You can also use the internet to search for jobs and training opportunities if you are unemployed. 

Energy advice - You can get energy advice during the winter. We have leaflets and displays and a drop in advice surgery on the first Tuesday of each month from October to April.

Student support - You can get advice here for full and part time students about financial help with tuition fees, grants, loans, supplementary grants for students with children, and students with learning and physical disabilities.
