There are many different organisations that can help with advice about debt and money problems. There are links to some useful websites from this page.

If you owe money on your council rent, please telephone us on 0113 398 4701 or call in to your local one stop centre or neighbourhood housing office to talk about how we can help.

If you are having problems paying your council tax, you can ring us on  0113 222 4404 or call in to any of our one stop centres.

If you are struggling to live on the money you have or are experiencing problems with debt, you may want to consider whether you are getting all the welfare benefits or tax credits that you are entitled to. Leeds City Council also has an on-line database of voluntary and community organisations which offer advice and support services. You can search this database by following the link on this page.

The central government information website ‘Directgov’, also has a wide range of government public service information and links to other organisations which you may find useful if you are looking for help or advice.
