You may hold your civil partnership ceremony in any approved premises in England and Wales, although individual premises are free to choose whether to host civil partnership ceremonies. All premises, which have been approved by Leeds City Council as of December 2005 are listed on this page.
You will need to discuss available dates and times with both the registrar (see the page link 'Register Office Leeds') and your chosen venue. A non-refundable deposit of £10 is required to secure a provisional booking in our dairy.
On a Saturday and Sunday the times allocated for marriages at approved premises are 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, 5:00pm. All times are dependent upon staff availability.
An attendance fee for the registrars to attend your ceremony is payable one month in advance. This is usually combined with an appointment in the register office (if required) to discuss arrangements for your ceremony, such as music and readings.
Once a firm arrangement has been made the superintendent registrar will advise you of the requirements for your formal notice of civil partnership.
