Enterprise Leeds brings together support for anyone thinking of starting a business in Leeds. There is also access to the Business Growth Fund designed to help small businesses in Leeds expand and recruit local residents.

Enterprise Leeds is overseen by the Enterprise Support Team of Leeds City Council.

Enterprise Coaching 
If you are thinking of starting a business and need some help contact the Enterprise Yorkshire team of Leeds, York and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce. They have two enterprise coaches who will talk through your idea and help you clarify the next steps. They will also sign post you to other support available:

Help for young entrepreneurs 18 to 30yrs old

Grant Scheme
The Business Growth Fund scheme is a grant limited to 20 per cent of capital costs subject to a maximum grant of £10,000 and a minimum of £1,000.

The grant may be used for capital equipment, machinery and tools; alterations to land and/or premises to meet the needs of business or security measures.

The business must be based in Leeds, and be established for six months or more. For full details, eligibility criteria and an application form call Neill Fishman or Katie Dunlevey on 0113 220 6350.
