Construction finished in June of 2011 when Cottingley Court was handed over to Adult Social Care to manage. The Independent Living Project (ILP) is now:

- providing 73 new purpose-built properties on 39 sites enabling people to live in communities of their choosing
- providing new specialist services as well as improved respite and crisis facilities
- working in partnership over the next 25 years with Leeds Independent Living Accommodation Company (LiLAC). To learn more about LiLAC click on the link in the right hand menu
- in addition Rainbow House is providing short breaks for up to 12 children at a time.
The service provided by Dimensions is allowing some people who have had to live away from Leeds to move back home. Other services are being provided by Mencap, St. Anne's, Creative Support and Real Life Options.
Work started on the first phase on Wednesday 23 June 2008. The first properties were finished in March 2009. The final phases of construction were completed in June 2011.
