The webcam owned by Leeds City council is mounted on the roof of the Leeds Civic Hall and overlooks Millennium Square. The view covers the Town Hall on the right and the new Carriageworks Theatre complex in the centre.
The link to the webcam is found at the bottom of every page on the website.
The brick chimney of the the Electric Press printworks is on the far left.
The giant media screen on the front of the theatre will show events, news, sport and local information 24-hours-a-day for the next three years with the sound muted overnight.
Major national and international events will be shown, along with content from eight free-to-air digital channels as part of the BBC’s Public Space Broadcasting Project which has seen similar screens put in place in Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester and Hull.
