Joint Service Centres Project

The centres will provide facilities primarily for face to face services, including services provided by the local authority, primary care trusts, the police and other partners.

Communities and Local Government (CLG) has given initial approval for the development of three Joint Service Centres in Inner Leeds (Chapeltown, Harehills and Kirkstall) to be procured through the Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) procurement procedure.

CLG has approved the outline business case for this project. The final scope of the centres at Chapeltown and Harehills has been finalised and financial close is anticipated in February 09 with commencement scheduled for May 2010 (Harehills) and August 2010 (Chapeltown).

Following delays in identifying a suitable site the final scope of services to be delivered from the Kirkstall centre is being developed with Stage 1 approval under LIFT planned for March 2009.

The contract is for 25 years.
