Potternewton Park offers a wide range of activities for all age groups.

The Park is managed by Parks and Countryside, part of the Leisure and Learning Department, Leeds City Council.

Younger children can enjoy the modern and challenging play area whilst older youths enjoy the large skateboard park and basketball court

Potternewton Park has an active Friends group who organise community events and support new initiatives such as the new park graffiti wall.

Events
Potternewton Park is home to the annual West Indian Carnival and Reggae Concert which takes place every August Bank Holiday Weekend. Countless flamboyant and vibrant outfits fill the park as the parade floats begin their procession accompanied by the sounds of whistles and music.

The Friends of Potternewton Park host an annual Spring Festival, usually held on May day.
